2nd Annual DesignHub Exhibition
The second Design Hub exhibition proved again to be a great success. The event was run between the 1-5 November during the national design week program in Tullamore county Offaly. The aim of the exhibition was to promote design as a problem solving utility and encourage innovation within Irish industries. Among the well known attendees of the exhibition were the Taoiseach Bran Cowen and apprentice star Brian Purcell. The event was a great chance for recent design graduates from different design backgrounds and disciplines to showcase their work.
The winner of the exhibition was a recent IT Carlow product design graduate Ross Burke with his project of Satellite Square.

Design Week 2010
DesignHub memebers Noel Joyce and Dmitry Sheremetiev took part in this year's 24hr Universal Design Challenge in Dublin.
Noel and Dmitry belonged to the team of "Slí Grafton" of nine creative designers from different disciplines and backgrounds. Working together for 24 hours non-stop a team challanged this year's brief of redesining the experience of Grafton Street Area for disabled people.
The Brief stated:
Create a universal design intervention or set of interventions with the surrounding environment with advisement from your design partner to improve its overall inclusivity in visual, spatial, mobility, service or communication terms so that the Grafton Street area can be accessed, understood and used to the greatest extent possible by all people regardless of their age, size and ability or disability.

Limerick Institute of Technology Lectures
Members from Designhub have been offered the unique chance to travel to Limerick and speak about the Designhub concept. Mike Fox a lecturer from L.I.T got in contact with the guys with a view to Designhub coming to L.I.T to speak to first year students on Designhubs collaborative efforts and how it works. The guys will be speaking about their experience working with each other and their vision for the future.
